We believe no veteran should call the streets their home, we are raising money to help end homelessness for veterans in Wales.
As the cost of living crisis deepens more veterans are likely to become at risk of homelessness. The more we raise, the more veterans we can support and give them a place to call home and help them get back on track to a more fulfilling life.
This funding will support our 10 veteran homes in Wales and the pathway of support created for each person to help them gain the skills, opportunities and confidence to live fulfilling lives once again. Two specific programmes are our Boots on the Ground service which promotes good mental health through regular outdoor activities. We need help to fund and staff the various activities and pastimes we put on. It could be gardening, fishing, walking, archaeology to name a few. The second is our Veterans Self-Build programme. In collaboration with national housing we enable veteran self-builders to move into their own homes. We need funding to help with transportation to get these veterans get to the site each day, costs for training and equipment (PPE) also need to be met.

Dynamic in nature, Alabaré listens to our veterans, understanding that some need higher levels of support to achieve success. Success being long-term change, increased resilience, and decreased return to homelessness. With the overall objective is that each veteran becomes independent and positively contributes to society once more.
