Is your project eligible for funding from the BA Better World Community Fund?

We support projects and organisations that are working to enrich their communities and support long term change. We want to hear from your if you have an innovative project or projects that can help create a better world. We provide funding in a variety of ways including a match fund and an employee giving scheme. Applicants will be informed at the time of making an application which funding type or types are available.

Submit an application

Check our eligibility criteria. If you're a UK charity or social enterprise aligned with the BA Better World vision, apply by creating a unique project page with your idea and fundraising target.

Raise your funds

Once approved, you’ll have 6 weeks to plan and launch a crowdfunding campaign. We’ll match donations up to £250 each (eligibility applies), with a maximum of £10,000 in matched funds.

Make a difference

Once your target is reached, the BA Better World pledge is secure—time to bring your idea to life! You can apply again anytime if you wish to crowdfund in the future.

Our funding decisions are guided by the following categories, and preference will be given to projects that demonstrate an ability to create positive impact across several categories.

People

  • Wellbeing
  • Social mobility and education
  • Disability inclusion
  • Local community support

Planet

  • Biodiversity and nature
  • Regeneration of local communities
  • Innovation projects

Your project must:

  • Be submitted by an applicant aged 18 or older
  • Be UK based and for the benefit of UK communities
  • Not be for the benefit of any one individual

Your organisation must also:

  • Be registered in the UK as a charity or social enterprise
  • Have a bank account in its own name and have been operating for over 12 months

Priority will be given to:

  • Projects providing training and skills to help disadvantaged groups access employment and education
  • Projects creating opportunities for people in underrepresented groups particularly focused on improving gender and ethnic diversity and accessibility for people with disabilities
  • Innovative projects tackling environmental and climate challenges with long term outcomes and robust measurements
  • Projects located near London City and London Heathrow Airports.
