We aim to provide Christmas gifts for specifically nominated children and young adults who are unlikely to receive anything for Christmas.
Who we are
Be Someone’s Santa is a registered Scottish charity (SC051401) that connects kind people with children and young people from Glasgow who might otherwise go without a gift at Christmas.
We started in 2017 as a small collection of gifts by a mum in the southside of Glasgow and have grown into a community of dozens of annual volunteers and thousands of supporters. Last year we helped provide gifts for over 3,000 children, young adults, and families across Greater Glasgow.
Our team is entirely volunteer-run so all the money donated goes towards helping children.
How we’ll use the money
Your money buys gifts. It costs us about £30 to give a child a gift this Christmas.
Every donation helps make sure no child on our list is left out. Children who aren’t matched with a pledger are covered by funds raised here.
Why it matters
We work through partner organisations, so we never know the names of the children referred to our lists, nevertheless we know that the appeal makes a huge difference to the children who receive gifts, and their families too.
Below are impact statements from the families of children who received gifts in the appeal:
“I am so grateful for all the gifts. I was dreading Christmas, but now I can’t wait to see their faces!”
“I couldn’t believe how amazing the gifts were that were donated to my kids. To know that someone out there is thinking of us makes me want to cry…happy tears!”
“I can’t tell you how much this has helped my family this year. I am so grateful.”
Whether you give £1 or £50, you’re helping make sure a child somewhere in Glasgow has something to open this Christmas.
Thank you for being someone’s Santa!
