Aim

Help us finish building and open Cornwall’s largest hedgehog hospital to rescue, rehabilitate and release more hedgehogs into the wild.

Prickles and Paws Hedgehog Rescue, founded by mother and daughter team Diane and Katy, is now Cornwall’s largest hedgehog hospital. In 2024, we cared for a record-breaking 1,428 hedgehogs.

We’ve outgrown our garden-based site in Cubert and are building a new, purpose-designed “Hogspital” on the Carnanton Estate near Newquay Airport. The new facility will help us treat even more hedgehogs - but we need your help to make it happen.

We’ve already raised 93% of the funds needed to complete the build - now we’re asking for your support to help us cross the finish line and open the Hogspital doors.

Your contribution will help us:

  • Build new hutch systems for recovering hedgehogs
  • Create shelving for vital incubators
  • Add storage for food, equipment, and medical supplies
  • Develop safe and enriching outdoor spaces for rehabilitation and education.

Every donation brings us one step closer to giving Cornwall’s hedgehogs the hospital they deserve.
