On 9th January I am walking from 88km from LGW-LHR-LCY in 24 hours with British Airways to raise money for the wonderful Kings Trust.
Growing up can be hard whoever you are. But for young people facing adversity such as mental health issues, challenges at home or at school, or even homelessness - it can feel impossible.
At The King's Trust, we help young people to develop confidence and essential life skills to transform their futures. All with the goal of supporting them towards securing work that can lead to a more stable, fulfilling life.
Our courses are delivered in schools, colleges, and workplaces, with our trusted partners or by our own frontline staff.
Working together for young people
We're proud to partner with British Airways and deliver our invaluable 'Get Into Aviation' programme. This course provides young people with the chance to explore the aviation industry and gain meaningful, hands-on work experience - the kind of opportunity our young people might not have access to without the generous support of partners like British Airways.
Our impact
We’ve been working with young people since 1976 and we’ve supported more than 1,000,000 young people to date. Today, our work is more vital than ever.
Young people starting their working lives today have faced an unprecedented and complex set of barriers, including disruption to their education and an unstable jobs market.
In supporting young people to thrive, not only do we create a profound impact on their lives, but we also make a difference to our wider society and economy. And whilst the challenges for disadvantaged young people are extensive, if we can raise the vital funds we need, thousands more young people will get the chance to reach their potential.
