Aim
We are creating a centre of excellence for neurodiverse and disabled child and their families
We want to create a fun exciting place that children and their families can attend, and not worry about the dangers of eloping, running onto roads, being judged and excluded from facilities due to them wearing nappies and not having suitable changing facilities as these children and young adult deserve better. My dream is to provide a centre where neurodivergent children come first and neurotypical children are welcome to attend. So many places have “ASN friendly” session my goal is every session and area and time of activity is ASN friendly and inclusive to welcome neurotypical children and families into the world of ASN.
We are trained child care practitioners that provide child care for neurotypical children and respite care for neurodiverse children. We are all highly trained and have extensive experience dealing with non verbal children and children that have learning difficulties l. These children are excluded from mainstream services and can’t even access their local parks as these are unsafe. Every child has the right to play and we want to be the first organisation in Renfrewshire that can offer respite care to these families and children that deserve to have the same options as mainstream neurotypical children and families.
We will spend the money on creating indoor climbing equipment and sensory hammocks along with soft mats and sensory walls. Safe secure doors would be installed to keep everyone safe.
