Toughing it out to raise money for Flying Start!
Hey! We're Hannah and Lucy-May, Business Professional Apprentices who have decided to take on this year's Henley-On-Thames 15K Tough Mudder to raise money for Flying Start!
Henley is said to be one of Tough Mudder's most challenging courses of the season, packed with steep hills, dense woodlands, and muddy ditches. With elevation gains of up to 551 meters, it’s not "for the faint-hearted (or weak quads)".
On the website, we are told to "Expect slippery, muddy pathways, natural obstacles that ramp up the difficulty, and muddy ditches galore you’ll have to wade through. Historically, Henley brings unpredictable weather conditions, and often, mudslides."
Flying Start is the global charity partnership between British Airways and Comic Relief. Together, we want to help people in the UK and around the world to have the best possible start in life and the chance to have a brighter future. Since our partnership began in 2010, British Airways customers and colleagues have raised over £30m, an incredible amount that we are immensely proud of!

- £1 could buy fruit and a healthy snack for a child in the UK.
- £10 could provide a child with a disability in Kenya with essential equipment so they can go to school.
- £20 could help provide healthcare for a year for a child in India providing bringing critical medical supplies to communities without access to medical facilities.
