BA Better World Community Fund On Board Cash Donations
Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions relate to donations made to the BA Better World Community Fund during on board cash collections. This is an entirely voluntary scheme whereby customers can make donations to help support BA Better World Community Fund charity partners. These donations are collected by British Airways and passed in their entirety by British Airways to independent not for profit Charities, which will identify such projects.
1. Definitions
"BA Better World Community Fund" (also known as “the Community Fund”) is the name for the scheme that will collect and pass on donations made by our customers to the Charities.
"Donation" means your voluntary contribution for participation in the BA Better World Community Fund.
“Charity” means any not-for-profit third-party charity or charities that may be appointed by British Airways now or in the future to select and administer any projects supported by Donations from British Airways customers.
‘Grant’ means an award of monies on a non-repayment basis to the agreed projects or activity.
2. Your Donation
British Airways will choose the Charities from time to time and will clearly show to which charity or charities your cash donations will be passed and in which proportions. British Airways reserves the sole discretion to select the Charities that will receive any cash Donation monies from the Community Fund.
3. BA Better World Community Fund
The Charity will use the Donations to support its own projects.
You will have no rights over any Donation made, or in any project that your Donation supports.
Donations are a one-off payment and are non-refundable.
British Airways does not retain any part of your Donation, nor does it derive any revenue or profit whatsoever from the operation of the Community Fund.
As this is a global scheme, Gift Aid cannot be added to donations at the point of sale.
If the Charity ceases to operate, the Community Fund monies held will be paid to the Charity, and the Charity and British Airways shall agree how the monies shall be dispersed, which in any case will be to organisations operating in the area retained by the Charity as a Grant for general charitable purposes. British Airways and the Charity reserves the sole discretion to select the organisations or projects that will receive any final Community Fund monies.
BA reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. Any updates will be posted here so please check back regularly. The governing law is that of England and Wales.
