Since 2010, British Airways’ Flying Start programme has worked in partnership with Comic Relief to help give disadvantaged young people a brighter future in the UK and around the world.
Flying Start has raised over £28 million and in the last three years over £2 million was raised for early childhood development in the UK, India, South Africa and Ghana.
I was fortunate to be able to visit two of these projects in Delhi last year and meet the street children at Butterflies whose lives have been changed for the better - thanks to the donations that we’ve collected from our customers’ spare change at the end of their flights.
Meeting youth volunteers at Sangath in Delhi and listening to how they promote mental health awareness and address suicide prevention was a moving experience and I want to do all that I can to raise funds for these amazing projects funded by Flying Start.
Any amount that you spare will be matched by British Airways so please donate if you can.
Thank you.
