We would like to put on a FREE community centre Find Hansel &Gretel story with a father Christmas grotto, I would like the grant to help with buying paint etc to build a gingerbread house and to get ginger bread houses to give to the children from Santa.

The community are right behind this idea I didn’t know that the centre had never done anything like this , even having a father Christmas ! so last year we did the polar express which was fantastic . • Through a shout out to the community the support has been brilliant , help with wrapping presents to help with people offering to dress up as elf's, and we now have a father Christmas ! and two children who were going to audition from the centre drama school to play Hansel and Gretel. • This is what community is all about ! Its bringing the community together of all ages . Just that im passionate about bring father Christmas to the centre and trying still to do it for free , in Lostwithiel there is a lot of low paid families and this is the only way that their children would get to see Santa with 2,3or 4 kids in a family is cost a fortune, so giving them this to me is what a community centre is all about ! Building a gingerbread house in the reception area we are doing it back to front so the witch and the negative part will be first going down to the candy forest heading towards a snowy forest heading to the north pole where funny that they find Hansel &Gretel with father Christmas who is sat on a sleigh with Christmas tress all around  ( we have got a flat way in at the other side of the building for disabled children ), and deaf /disabled children that come to the centre ,this will be available to them as well , also disabled adults are also excited for what I'm doing which is great , this is definitely bringing a lot more people into the centre and making a community smile ….. RESULT ! We are a non profit Charity so as can imagine is really hard to make events happen without the kindness of grants and funding  like this .
