British Airways, in collaboration with Comic Relief's Flying Start, is thrilled to announce the inaugural Flying Start Games. This event brings together employees from various departments, including cabin crew, engineering, head office, cargo, and international crew, to showcase their sporting prowess while raising funds for children and young people facing challenging circumstances globally.

Event Details:

Purpose: The primary objective of the Flying Start Games is to raise funds for Flying Start, an initiative dedicated to supporting vulnerable children and youth in the UK and worldwide.

Activities: Participants will compete in a series of exciting athletic and team-based challenges, fostering camaraderie and teamwork while supporting a noble cause. The activities include:

Athletic Events:

• 100M
• 400M
• 1500M
• 4X100M Relay
• Long Jump
• Standing Long Jump
• Javelin

Adaptive Sports:

• Seated Shot Put
• Seated Table Tennis

Team Sports:

• 5-a-side Football
• 3x3 Basketball
• Badminton

Team A380: A spirited team comprising 34 participants from diverse departments within British Airways will represent Team A380. Their enthusiasm and dedication exemplify the commitment of British Airways towards making a positive impact in the community.

Fundraising: Participants are encouraged to raise funds through sponsorship, donations, and corporate contributions. Every pound raised will directly support Flying Start's initiatives, providing essential aid to children and young people in need.

How to Get Involved:

• Sponsorship: Individuals and organizations can sponsor participants or teams to support their fundraising efforts.
• Donations: Even those unable to participate directly can contribute by making donations towards Flying Start.
